The Yeti hat

—- To prepare and wait for Christmas, I am going to offer a very special gift to you, my family of Knitters—-

An Advent calendar of free patterns to make something to warm up our loved ones and tell them "I took this time to please you and tell you that I love you". First boss: The Yeti Hat.

YETI HAT:
Size: Women

– 2 skeins of Super Bulky Merino wool by Da Fazenda (100% Merino wool; 100g/48m)
– 1 recycled fur pompom
– 1 circular needle 10mm in 40cm circumference
– 1 set of 10mm double tips
– 1 yarn needle
– 1 marker ring

Gauge : 7.5 sts x 12 rows for 10cm by 10cm with 10mm circular stockinette needles
IMPORTANT . check sample and adjust needle number if necessary

Realization:
Cast on 36 stitches with 10 mm circular needles. Place a reference ring, join in a circle, taking care not to twist your stitches. Knit 5 rows in 2/2 rib (*knit 2, purl 2*) over the entire row. Continue in stockinette st until piece measures 18 cm, measured from cast-on edge.
Start the decreases for the top of the hat like this (switch to double pointed needles when the knit becomes too tight).

row 1: * 4 stitches, 2 stitches together * repeat until the end of the round.
Knit one row.
row 3: * 3 stitches, 2 stitches together * repeat until the end of the round.
Knit one row.
row 5: * 2 stitches, 2 stitches together * repeat until the end of the round.
Knit one row.
row 7: * 1 stitch, 2 stitches together * repeat until the end of the round.
row 8: * 2 stitches together * repeat until the end of the round.

Pass the yarn through the remaining 6 stitches, tighten and tuck in all the yarns. Sew the pompom to the top of the hat.

I knit a hat in 2 hours. What's your super power?
I knit a tuque in two hours, and you, what is your superpower?
