The Miss Button collar and mittens

An Advent calendar of free patterns and recipes to make something to warm up our loved ones and tell them "I took this time to please you and tell you that I love you". Pattern for today: The Miss Button Collar and Mittens.

THE MISS BUTTON COLLAR

- Material:
1 skein Shepherd's Wool by Stonehedge Fiber Mill (100% Merino, 113g/229m)
3 buttons
1 circular needle 8 mm in 60 cm circumference
1 yarn needle

The sample is not important!

Realization
With the 8 mm needles, cast on 30 stitches with the yarn in double and knit in point
moss (knit all sts) for 4 rows.

Create a row of buttonholes as follows:
Knit 3, knit 2 together, yarn over, knit 10, knit 2 together, yarn over, finish the row.

Continue in garter stitch until piece measures 50 cm from cast-on row. Cast off all sts.

MISS BUTTON MITTENS

WOMEN

- Material
1 skein Shepherd's Wool by Stonehedge Fiber Mill (60% Merino, 113g/229m)
6 buttons
1 set of 4 mm double-pointed needles
1 yarn needle

- Sample:
21 sts x 30 rows for 10 cm by 10 cm with 4 mm needles in circular stockinette
IMPORTANT . check sample and adjust needle number if necessary

Realization
The mitten is started with the wrist band in garter stitch.

WRIST:
With a 4 mm double pointed needle, cast on 20 stitches and knit in garter stitch for 18 cm.
Knit a row of buttonholes as follows:
3 stitches, 2 stitches together, 1 yarn over, 4 stitches, 2 stitches together, 1 yarn over, 4 stitches, 2 stitches together, 1 yarn over, 3 stitches.

Knit another 4 rows garter st and cast off loosely. Cross the band over 2 cm and fix it by sewing on the buttons or with safety pins.
With double pointed needles, pick up 40 stitches along the wrist band. Distribute these stitches on 3 needles and join in the round.
Knit 3 rows, then start the thumb gusset as follows:

FOB:
Preparation row: knit 20 stitches, place a marker ring, knit an intercalary increase,
place a second marker ring and complete the row. Knit a row all the way.

Then:
row 1 (increase row): Knit to the first marker ring, slip the ring, knit a right intercalary increase, knit to the second marker ring, knit a left intercalary increase, slip the ring and finish the row .
row 2 and 3: purl.

Repeat from row 1 to row 3 until there are 15 stitches between each marker ring.
Knit one row.
On the next row, knit to the first marker ring, remove it, place the 15 gusset stitches on a thread, finish knitting the row.
