Monsieur Roulot's scissors

As a passionate knitter, pleasure is cultivated as much with beautiful yarns as with beautiful tools in my knitting bag.

In 2013, at the Aiguille en Fête fair, my stand faced that of Mr. Roulot, Engraver from the Nogent Basin. Mr. Roulot, of a venerable age, has refined his passion for scissors since the age of 14 (if my calculations are correct: 63 years in the service of fine blades!).

This love of scissors led him to build a real collection. And this collection pushed him to open the first Museum of Nogent! (Cutler Heritage Museum of the Bassin Nogentais, inaugurated by Mr. Roulot in 1988).

Each Monsieur Roulot scissors is shaped by hand, a real gem of precision well known to French embroiderers and lacemakers. The Sajou brand has also used his services for years. Sharp, lightweight, delicately adorned, these scissors are objects to collect and use.

Storks from $42.50 to $45 and Victorians from $55 to $58.95.

Monsieur Roulot's scissors have arrived, exclusively at the Maison Tricotée!
