Hello ladies and gentlemen, we call on you, the community of knitters and knitters, our friends, lovers of beautiful things:
Céline has decided to embark on a more personal adventure with a hybrid project combining her vocation as a storyteller with that of a Knitter. Inspired by the success of its knitted mice, (our mascots at La Maison Tricotée) a story was born: “The thief of small miseries”. The story of a little mouse who, from collecting baby teeth, is forced to change jobs and becomes a thief of sorrows. With small steps, she trots from one room to another and discovers what is hidden under the pillows… of grown-ups!
In addition to this storybook intended for both children (from 6 years old) and adults, Céline has created a book of knitting patterns to bring the different characters in the book to life. Each character is translated as a small knitted work of art.
This wonderful project is almost coming to an end and we need your help to continue the adventure.
We decided to edit ourselves so as not to have to compromise on the quality, or even the content of the tale or the pattern book. We call on a renowned illustrator: Ani Castillo and the graphic design studio "L'atelier Chinotto" in Montreal to help us in this great adventure. We will also have our books printed by a Montreal printer.
This morning we just launched the social fundraising campaign on KICKSTARTER. YOU CAN SEE THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT WITH AN EXPLANATORY VIDEO AS WELL AS THE DIFFERENT PRIZES IN WHICH YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IN ORDER TO HELP US PUBLISH THESE 2 BOOKS.
