Material

  • 2 skeins of MO by Fleece Artist (78% Kid Mohair, 13% Wool, 9% Nylon - 125 g/ 250 m)
  • 1 circular needle 80 cm in circumference 8 mm
  • 1 yarn needle

Techniques

Jersey

1 row place, 1 row purl. Repeat these 2 rows.

Row of increases to the right and to the left at 1 stitch from the edges for the sleeves: Knit 1 stitch, 1 intercalary increase, knit up to 1 stitch before the end of the row and make an intercalary increase, and knit the last stitch.

1 simple overlock

Slip a stitch from the left needle to the right needle as if to knit it, knit the next stitch then bind off the slipped stitch on the knitted stitch.

1 step increase

With the left needle, pick up the strand between the two stitches, from the front of the knitting towards the back. Knit this stitch in the back loop (this should appear as the shorter loop of the stitch). The mesh thus obtained is "twisted" and does not form a hole in the knitting.

Realization

In front

Cast on very loosely 52 (54, 58) stitches. Start with the bottom border as follows: row 1: knit 1, * knit 2, purl 2 *, repeat from * to * and finish with (3, 1, 1) knit.

Size

Small

row 2: purl 3, * purl 2, purl 2 * repeat from * to * and finish with purl 1.

Medium & Large

row 2: purl 1, * purl 2, purl 2 *, repeat from * to * and finish with purl 1.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 two more times then knit row 1: 7 rows knitted in total. Continue in stocking st and knit 4 rows starting with a knit row.

Then begin the size decreases as follows:

row 1 (work place): 1 knit stitch, 1 single overlock, knit until the last 3 stitches, 2 knit stitches together, 1 knit stitch.

Knit 7 rows in stocking st. Repeat these 8 rows 3 (4, 4) more times - 44 (44, 48) stitches.

Continue in stockinette st until piece measures 44 (43, 42) cm (measured from cast-on row). On the next knit row, beg the armholes as follows:

Row 1 (right side): Cast off 2 stitches and finish the row.

Row 2 (wrong side): Cast off 2 stitches by purling them and finish the row.

Row 3: Knit 1, 1 single overlock, knit to the last 3 stitches, knit 2 together, knit 1.

row 4: Everything upside down.

Repeat rows 3 and 4 one more time – 36 (36) 40 stitches.

Continue in stockinette st until 11 (12, 13) cm from the beginning of the armhole, and begin the neckline on the next RS row as follows:

Knit 12 (12, 14) stitches, knit the next 12 stitches then pass them on a stitch holder, finish the row. You should have 12 (12, 14) stitches on each side of the neckline.

From now on, each side will be worked separately. Place the 12 (12, 14) stitches on the right side on a holder and finish the left side as follows:

row 1 (wrong side): Purl all stitches.

row 2 (right side): Knit 2 stitches, a simple overlock and finish the row.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 another 3 (3, 4) times - 8 (8, 9) stitches.

Knit up to 22 (23, 24) cm in height from the beginning of the armholes, cut the thread about twenty centimeters from the work and place these 8 (8, 9) stitches on a stitch holder.

Join the yarn to knit the right side on the wrong side of the work and knit as follows:

row 1 (wrong side): Purl all stitches.

row 2 (work place): Knit until the last 4 stitches, 2 stitches knit together, 2 stitches.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 another 3 (3, 4) more times - 8 (8, 9) stitches

Knit up to 22 (23, 24) cm in height from the beginning of the armholes, cut the thread about twenty centimeters from the work and place these 8 (8, 9) stitches on a stitch holder.

Back

Beg as for the front up to the armholes included. Knit straight until 15 (16, 17) cm from the beginning of the armholes. Form the neckline as follows:

Knit 12 (12, 14) stitches, knit the next 12 stitches then pass them on a stitch holder, finish the row. You should have 12 (12, 14) stitches on each side of the neckline.

From now on, each side will be worked separately. Place the 12 (12, 14) stitches on the waiting side and finish the left side as follows:

row 1 (wrong side): Purl all stitches.

row 2 (right side): Cast off 2, (2, 3) stitches and finish the row - 10 (10, 11) stitches.

row 3: Purl all sts.

row 4: Cast off 2 stitches and finish the row - 8 (8, 9) stitches. Knit one row purl.

Knit up to 22 (23, 24) cm in height from the beginning of the armholes, cut the thread about twenty centimeters from the work and place these 9 stitches on a stitch holder.

Pick up the stitches on the right side on the wrong side of the work, joining the yarn.

row 1 (wrong side): Cast off 2 (2, 3) stitches by purling them and finish the row - 10 (10, 11) stitches.

row 2: Knit all the stitches.

row 3: Cast off 2 stitches by purling them and finish the row - 8 (8, 9) stitches.

Knit until you get the same height as the left shoulder then put these 8 (8, 9) stitches on hold.

Sleeves

Cast on 28 (28, 30) stitches and knit 7 border rows as follows:

Size Small & Medium

row 1: * knit 2, purl 2 * repeat from * to *.

row 2: * knit 2, purl 2 * repeat from * to *.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 two more times then knit row 1. 7 rows knitted in total.

Size Large

row 1: knit 1, * knit 2, purl 2 *, repeat from * to * and finish with knit 1.

row 2: purl 1, * purl 2, purl 2 *, repeat from * to * and finish with purl 1.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 two more times then knit row 1. 7 rows knitted in total.

Begin increases as follows:

Size Small

Increase 1 stitch within 1 stitch of the edge on each side and every 8 rows 8 times - 44 stitches.

Size Medium & Large

Increase 1 stitch inside 1 stitch from the edge on each side every 8 rows 2 times, then every 6 rows 7 times - 46 (48) stitches.

Continue in stockinette st until piece measures 51 (51, 50) cm including the ribbed edge.

Start sleeve cap as follows:

Row 1 (right side): Cast off 2 stitches and finish the row.

Row 2 (wrong side): Cast off 2 stitches by purling them and finish the row.

Row 3: Knit 1, 1 single overlock, knit to the last 3 stitches, knit 2 together, knit 1.

row 4: Everything upside down.

Repeat rows 3 and 4 one more time - 36 (38, 40) stitches.

Cast off these sts very, very loosely. (I recommend casting off with a 10mm needle) Knit a second similar sleeve.

Finishes

Step 1

Join the 2 shoulders with a 3-needle flap:

Place the back and the front right sides together in order to bind to the wrong side.

Place the 8 (8, 9) stitches of the right shoulder of the front on an 8 mm needle.

Place the 8 (8, 9) stitches of the right shoulder of the back on an 8 mm needle.

With a third needle (I recommend getting a larger needle size like 10mm), knit the first stitch together on the back needle and on the front needle = 1 stitch on the right needle .

Do the same with the second and cast off. Continue like this by knitting the front and back stitches together. Thread the yarn through the last stitch and tuck it in.

Step 3

For the neckline, the stitches will be picked up then cast off as you go. Start with the right side, resume by knitting 10 stitches, then the 12 stitches on the stitch holder, pick up 10 stitches along the left neckline, 8 stitches on the right side of the back, following the 12 stitches put on hold then 8 stitches on the left side.

Step 4

Sew the sleeves.

Step 5

Sew the sleeves and the sides.

Well done !
