Yarn like you've never seen before!

This wool is the result of many passions, long research and professional expertise. I put you a translation (I hope the most reliable possible) of its process. Because, you are in front of a magnificent artisanal product!

" Karida and Ann met in 2011 while Ann was teaching a class at Fiber Space in Alexandria, Virginia to support her self-published pattern book, "Craft. Work . Knit ."

Karida signed up for her color theory course. The next time they saw each other, Ann came to live with Karida in Baltimore. For 8 days. In a 700 square foot studio that also served as a home for Neighborhood Fiber Co. and two small dogs. With this kind of intense situation, it was clear that they would either become best friends or never speak to each other again.

Two years later, Ann Weaver moved to Baltimore. Karida, a self-proclaimed Baltimore evangelist, shared her love for Baltimore's vibrant culture, history, character, diversity, and its potential for artists and other creatives.

Ann and Karida continued to collaborate around yarn and other fiber arts. One of their adventures brought them to a week-long weaving workshop at Harrisville Designs. When they visited the mill and met the owners, they both knew they wanted to work with them to create something.

Karida and Ann brainstormed ideas and brainstormed what they wanted in a yarn. The Harrisville team shared their years of experience and expertise on wool, yarn and the milling process. There have been many trials with different fiber contents, yarn weights and dyeing techniques. The first skeins of "North Ave" were dyed in small batches and bent by hand by Ann on her spinning wheel. Each color combination was then knitted into a few long strips on a knitting machine. The process was thorough, precise and SLOW. However, the results justified everything. This wire is The Wire.

Our biggest compliment and encouragement came from the Harrisville team, who told us that our process and product was unlike anything they had ever seen. We hope you will agree."

Each combination of colors was then knit in a few long strips on a knitting machine. The process was painstaking, precise, and SLOW. However, the results justified it all. This yarn is the shit. Our highest compliment and greatest encouragement came from the team at Harrisville, who told us that our process and product were unlike anything they had ever seen. We hope you agree.
