The 16 stitches of the lace chart blocked on 4.5 mm needles = 9 cm approximately. Important: Check sample and adjust needle number if necessary.

C4/4G Place 2 stitches on a cable needle behind, knit the next 2 stitches then knit the 2 stitches on hold

C4/4D Place 2 stitches on a cable needle in front, knit the next 2 stitches then knit the 2 stitches on hold

Realization

Cast on 88 stitches with 4.5 mm needles. Place a marker ring and join in the round, taking care not to twist the stitches.

Begin the border by knitting 1 purl row, 1 purl row and 1 purl row.

Continue as follows: [ R1 from lace chart, R1 from chart A, R1 from lace chart, R1 from lace chart B] repeat a total of 2 times.

Repeat the 8 rows of the lace chart 8 times in total and 6 times rows 1 to 10 of chart A and B then row 1 to 4 once.

Knit one purl row, one purl row, one purl row then cast off the stitches very loosely.

Finishes

Soak for about twenty minutes in a Eucalan type wool soap then gently block the collar in order to “open” the lace. Let dry flat.

Tuck in all the wires.

Interview

Hand wash with wool soap. Dry flat.
