I Knit the Calm Down Tee by Lily Kate France - Online and In-Person Classes - Summer 2025

A pretty classic and elegant top

In this course, we will break down the pattern step-by-step and cover each technique. The pattern is in English but the course will be taught in French. Translation is not provided but the terms used will be translated.

Techniques covered :

• The basics: Choosing your size, gauge, materials
• Short rows
• Picking up stitches at different times 
  
• Bust darts (optional but flattering depending on bust circumference)
• The tubular bind-off

This course is offered in 2 formats: 

• 6 online tutorials delivered every Monday between June 30 and July 28 + a live "Questions and Answers" session on Sundays at 12:00 PM.
• The "Deluxe" version with online tutorials + in-person class at the St Denis shop.

Online: Every Monday from July 7 to August 11, 2025

In-person: Every Wednesday from July 9 to August 13, 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM

More information about the pattern 

The Calm Down Tee is offered in 9 sizes to fit busts from 28 to 62'' / 70 to 155 cm.

It offers a nice definition to the shoulder line followed by a slightly fitted body.

The pattern is not included in the course price.

How do I access my online course?

Every Monday, you will receive a link to a private YouTube tutorial. At the end of your course, you can save the complete playlist.

You can watch it as many times as you want with no time limit. 

Every Sunday at 10:30 AM there will be a live Q&A session.

You can also ask the instructor questions by writing directly to celine@lamaisontricotee.com.

A private group is created on Slack to allow you to interact with the warm student community. 

How do the in-person classes work?

In-person classes will take place at our Maison at 5009 rue St Denis in Montreal (400 m from Laurier Metro) every Wednesday from June 25 to July 30, 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

Tea is offered unlimited with a smile and good cheer!

Your instructor 

Céline Barbeau will be your instructor for this course. With about twenty years of teaching experience, she is a designer and creator of Maison Tricotée, and she is passionate about sharing her love of knitting.
