Chloris cardigan
Chloris cardigan
Chloris was a nymph whose beauty seduced Zephyr, who made her the goddess of flowers. While waiting for real flowers to start growing, why not cover our knitwear with them? This cardigan is knitted from the bottom up, in one piece and seamless. With the warmth of the CASA, it is perfect for mid-season and its cooler days, while remaining a harbinger of good weather to come.

Realization
Body
Using the smaller needles, cast on 100 (107, 114, 121, 135, 142) stitches. Knit 6 (6, 8, 8, 10, 10) rows in 1/1 rib.
Change to larger needles and knit two rows in stocking stitch. Knit following the stocking st chart for approx 16 (18.5, 19, 20, 21.5, 23) cm.
ATTENTION! For sizes 1, 2 and 4 years, the pattern is started on the 4th stitch of the chart in order to obtain a certain symmetry.
Put the stitches on hold.
Sleeves
Using the smaller needles, cast on 33 (34, 36, 38, 40, 42) stitches. Join to knit in the round, placing a marker for the start of the row.
Knit 6 (6, 8, 8, 10, 10) rows in 1/1 rib. Change to larger needles and knit one row followed by an increase row as follows:
K1, 1 AIG, knit until the 3rd. m, 1 AID, K1.
Continue following chart increasing every 4 (2, 6, 2, 4, 4) rows 4 (5, 4, 5, 5, 5) more times. You should have 43 (46, 48, 50, 52, 54) stitches.
Continue keeping the pattern as established until 16.5 (17, 17.5, 18, 19.5, 21) cm in total height. Put on hold and knit a second sleeve in the same way.
Armholes
The jacquard pattern must continue to be worked as established, even if it is no longer mentioned in the pattern.
Knit 21 (25, 26, 27, 31, 32) body stitches, K2 tog, K1. Place a marker.
Put 5 (4, 5, 6, 7, 8) stitches from the body and 5 (4, 5, 6, 7, 8) from a sleeve on hold (be careful to center the stitches on the sleeve so that the increases are down). Knit the rest of the sleeve as follows; K1, simple overlock, knit up to 3 stitches from the stitches on hold, 2 sts. tog, 1m. end.
Place a marker before starting to knit the back again; K1, simple overlock, knit 36 (37, 40, 43, 47, 50) stitches, 2 sts. tog, 1 st. end. Place a marker. Put 5 (4, 5, 6, 7, 8) stitches from the body and 5 (4, 5, 6, 7, 8) from the sleeve on hold (again, be careful to center them). Knit the rest of the sleeve as follows; K1, simple overlock, knit up to 3 stitches from the stitches on hold, 2 sts. tog, 1m. end.
Place a marker before knitting the last stitches of the body; 1m. end, single overlock, knit the remaining 21 (25, 26, 27, 31, 32) stitches. You should have 158 (175, 186, 189, 203, 210) stitches in total.
Continue knitting in stockinette stitch following the pattern and making a raglan decrease row every 2 rows 11 (12, 6, 6, 14, 6) times, then every 4 rows 0 (0, 1, 1, 0, 2) times and finally every 2 rows 0 (0, 6, 7, 0, 7) times. Finish with a right side row.
Raglan decrease row (to be done from the right side): * Knit up to 3 sts. from the marker, 2 sts. tog, 1 m. end, slip marker, 1 st. K, simple overlock.* Repeat 3 more times, finish the row in the right side. 8 sts decreased.
You should have 62 (71, 74, 77, 83, 82) stitches.
Neck
row 1 (wrong side): purl to the last marker. Slip marker, purl 1, wrap and turn. (see tutorial for technique).
row 2 (right side): knit until the last marker. Slip marker, 1 st. end, wrap an turn.
row 3 (wrong side): purl to the penultimate marker. Slip marker, 1 st. env, wrap and turn.
row 4 (right): knit until the penultimate marker. Slip marker, 1 st. end, wrap and turn.
row 5 (wrong side): finish the row upside down by recovering the wrap and turn and knitting them with the “wrapped” stitch. (see tutorial for technique).
Change needles to smaller ones and knit 6 (6, 8, 8, 10, 10) rows in 1/1 rib. (without forgetting to collect the other two wrap and turn) Cast off flexibly.
Buttonhole
From the right side of the knit and with the smaller needles, pick up 2 out of 3 stitches along the left side. Knit in 1/1 rib over 2.5 (2.5, 3, 3, 3.5, 4) cm. Cast off loosely.
Bring up the stitches on the other side in the same way, but after 1 (1, 1.5, 1.5, 2.2) cm, form the buttonhole by spacing 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 6) holes evenly for the buttons. Finish in 1/1 rib until you reach the same height as the opposite band.
Cast off loosely.
Finishes
Place the stitches waiting under the arm on two needles. Bring them together with grafting (see tutorial). Do the same for the other arm.
Bring in the wires and secure.
Well done !
