La Lucha beanie

We love everything about this tuque: light and warm, the wool is lustrous with a little halo of mohair.

  • CASA by weight, 100% Peruvian, medium (worsted), 1 gr/2 m
  • Alegria Grande, merino/nylon, medium (Aran), superwash, 100g skein/180m
  • Heavy Merino, merino, medium (aran), 50g skeins/125m
  • TWEED by weight, 100% merino, medium (aran), 1 g/1.9 m
  • Gilliatt, 100% merino, carded, medium (worsted), 100g/250m ball
• Circular needles 3.5 mm (US 5), circumference 40 cm (16 in)
• Circular needles 4 mm (US 6), circumference 40 cm (16 in)
• 4 mm double-pointed needle (US 7)

Realization

Using 3.5 mm needles, cast on 96 stitches.

Place a reference ring, join in a circle, taking care not to twist the stitches. Knit in 2/2 ribs for 11 cm. Change to 4 mm needles and stockinette st for a total height of 22 cm.

For the top of the head, begin the decreases as follows:
