Realization
With 3.5 mm needles, cast on the number of stitches indicated in column B. Knit in 2 x 2 rib for the height indicated in column C . If you like a folded brim, double the height.
Change to 4mm needles and stockinette st for total height (measured from cast-on row) shown in column D . Knit a row placing the stitch markers as mentioned in column E.
Start the decreases for the top of the head as follows:
Row 1 : [Knit to 2 stitches from marker, K2tog] repeat at each marker. Between 6 to 9 stitches are decreased according to the sizes.
Row 2 : knit all stitches
Repeat these 2 rows until there are 2 stitches between each marker.
K2tog across row. Cut the thread about ten centimeters from the knit and pass it through the remaining stitches. Tighten and weave in your ends.
