Arles merino has been bred in France for over 200 years. This wool is in itself a guarantee of quality as well as the guarantee of wool coming from well-treated animals (breeding without museling).
The Katia brand works directly with local breeders of the Merino sheep breed in the Arles region and fully respects herd care protocols and rules.
Arles merino wool is certified by UPRA, the French organization responsible for this breed of Arles merino sheep.
The softness and comfort of this 20-21 micron French wool are unique.
In addition, this wool goes through a Superwash treatment to further improve the performance of this crimped fiber with the greatest number of loops per centimeter. Have fun knitting this DK weight yarn for 4 mm needles, ideal for all types of knit and crochet garments.
