In Stevenson's famous novel, two completely opposite personalities coexist inside one and the same person, not without a hitch. In this fibrous version, they are two very different wools – a more “conventional” and a lighter, more difficult to master lace yarn – which split the limelight to create a happier ending than Stevenson’s. Just as Mr. Hyde takes up more and more space in Jekyll's life, the lace section is embedded between straight strips of wool and becomes more and more present.

Realization

The short rows

The triangular shape of the Hyde sections is achieved through shortened rows. To do this, instead of knitting the entire row, we stop before the end, we return the knitting and we start again in the other direction. It is not necessary to do something other than turning the knitting; It will create a small hole, but in the lace, it won't be visible much. On the next knit row, it will be written, for example, to knit up to 9 stitches from the last shortened row, i.e. from the place where the knitting was turned to the previous row. If you find it hard to tell it apart, you can put a marker there before you start knitting the other way.

With color A, cast on 6 stitches.
