About BC Garn
BC Garn is a family business founded in 1972 by Bo Carstensen. He must have acquired his passion for yarns at a young age, as his mother was a weaver and his father was a carpet wool trader. His mother had already started to have her own yarns produced for her, as she could not get the types of yarns and colours she needed for her projects.
Today, BC Garn develops a number of yarns for hand and machine knitting. Always made from natural fibres, often organic, partly GOTS certified.
In the spring of 2018, Bo and Marianna retired and handed over their "baby" to Britta and Carsten Kremke. What a coincidence that their first names fit the company name so well that they were able to keep the BC Garn brand. Britta has been knitting since she was 8 (in her mother's yarn shop) and at 21 she was the youngest yarn shop owner in Germany. Her husband has a degree in commercial engineering and works as a marketing consultant. A great symbiosis to foster and develop the brand in the spirit of the original founders.
