Realization
The sweater is made in 4 pieces which will be sewn afterwards.
In front
With 10 mm needles cast on 54 stitches. Start with a purl row then continue in stockinette st until 34 cm. Place 2 markers on each side and continue until the total height measures 43 cm, ending with a purl row. Begin the neckline as follows:
Row 1 (RS): Knit 24 sts. then cast off the 6 sts. rows and finish the row. From now on each side will be knitted separately. Put the 24 m. right on a stitch holder.
Left front half
Row 2 (wrong side): Knit to the last stitch, slip the last stitch.
Row 3: Cast off 4 sts. slipping the first stitch, finish the row = 20 sts.
Row 4: Knit to the last stitch, slip the last stitch.
Row 5: Cast off 2 sts. slipping the first stitch, finish the row = 18 sts.
Row 6: Knit to the last stitch, slip the last stitch.
Row 7: Cast off 2 sts. slipping the first stitch, finish the row = 16 sts.
Row 8: Knit to the last stitch, slip the last stitch.
Row 9: Cast off 2 sts. slipping the first stitch, finish the row = 14 sts.
Row 10: Knit to the last stitch, slip the last stitch.
Row 11: Cast off 2 sts. slipping the first stitch, finish the row = 12 sts.
Row 12: Knit.
Continue in stocking st. When the total neckline measures 10 cm, place the remaining 12 stitches on a stitch holder.
Right half front
Take the 24 m. waiting on the wrong side, join the yarn.
Row 2 (WS): Cast off 4 sts. by slipping the first stitch and finishing the row = 20 sts.
Row 3: Knit all stitches, slipping the last stitch.
Row 4: Cast off 2 sts. by slipping the first stitch, finish the purl row = 18 sts.
Row 5: Knit all stitches, slipping the last stitch.
Row 6: Cast off 2 sts. by slipping the first stitch, finish the purl row = 16 sts.
Row 7: Knit all the stitches slipping the last stitch.
Row 8: Cast off 2 sts. by slipping the first stitch, finish the purl row = 14 sts.
Row 9: Knit all stitches, slipping the last stitch.
Row 10: Cast off 2 sts. by slipping the first stitch, finish the purl row = 12 sts.
Continue in stocking st. When the total neckline measures 10 cm, place the remaining 12 stitches on a stitch holder.
Back
Knit as for the front until the marks. Then, knit another 16 rows in stockinette st, ending with a purl row. Then knit the neckline as follows:
Row 1 (RS): Knit 17 sts. and cast off the 20 sts. next, finish the row. From now on, each side will be knitted separately.
Left half back
Row 2 (wrong side): Knit to the last stitch, slip the last stitch.
Row 3: Cast off 5 sts. slipping the first st. and finish row = 12 sts.
Row 4: Knit the row purl and place the 12 sts. remaining on a stitch holder.
Take the 17 stitches on hold on the right from the wrong side. Join the wire.
Straight half back
Row 2 (WS): Cast off 5 sts. slipping the first st. and finish row = 12 sts.
Knit one row and one row purl then put the 12 sts. remaining on a stitch holder.
Sleeves
Cast on 30 sts with 8 mm needles. and knit in 1/1 rib for 11 rows.
Change to 10 mm needles and increase 10 sts evenly on the first row = 40 sts.
Continue for 31 rows then cast off very loosely.
Knit a second similar sleeve.
Finishes
For the neckline, with the 7 mm needles, go up while knitting them, 35 m. along the front neckline and 29 sts. along the back neckline = 64 sts.
Knit in 2/2 rib for 5 rows.
Then make a row of decreases as follows: * 2 Tog, 2 meV * = 48 sts.
Knit in fancy rib: * 1 meD, 2 meV * for 3 rows and cast off loosely following the stitch.
Join the shoulders using either a 3-needle flap or Grafting.
Sew each sleeve to the body, placing it between the 2 markers.
Sew the underside of the sleeves, sew the sides of the sweater.
Tuck in all the wires.
